What about the harness plug? Do I re-wire that to fit the newer one?
Having said that..... So, there is not a replacement delay module "box"? For my '88?
It would be faster/easier to replace the module.

The newer motor will bolt right in where the old style motor was.
The wiring plug is the same.
There used to be replacement circuit boards available for the old style motor, but I have not checked recently.
