That should work fine. A spacer is only for an S10 input shaft. The V6 Camaro T5 is 14 spline and the splines are cut further along the input shaft, so it doesn't need a spacer. The V8 will bolt up without any spacer or modification. It's cheaper than a Jeep shaft swap but you'll need to get a 14 spline clutch disc.
