Here's a few photos that might help.. this is on a 1970 with points ignition
(I realize you aren't asking about the power cable but I should mention the positive cable to starter connection seen in the attached 2191 and 2193 photos is not stock of course - that part is a DIY from a pc of copper plumbing pipe, heat-shrink, and a sparkplug cable boot - the cable as it came from LMC is what you see in the photo 2164 and it didn't seem to fit right)..
