This thread just helped me out quite a bit with the fact that you say the Jeep coils are the same diameter and bolt in. I can play with the other tech i know and figure a 3" lift for a trailer project i'm working on that started as a mid 60's stepside.

The coils were rear and they are not exactly the sane diameter but they do have pig tails at both ends so they fit in the retaining plates. good luck on your trailer.
