Here's what I did. Just an idea
Kept factory am stereo in place
Tank behind seat was removed and tank under bed installed
Build stereo box behind seat with round Bluetooth marine stereo and speakers.
Have a toggle switch under dash to turn it on or off
Sounds great and works nicely.
One thing I did was put metal on back of seat. I laminated coil stock on 1/4" ply.
The open foam absorbed sound too much. Metal panel worked well.
You actually can't tell where the sound is coming from.
People often ask where the speakers are. It's a full sound in the cab.
