That's what I was thinking too. Here are some pics I've collected of the types of caps I'm talking about.

And these chrome ones were optional for 67 and 68, right? (RPO P03?)


I know full wheel covers similar to what was posted above by 19553100 were offered in 1970 from the factory as RPO P01, but don't know about earlier years, perhaps someone in the know can speak up.
