An LS7 would be sweet for sure! I had a 2002 Silverado with a 4.8 and it got with the program pretty well for being in a 5,000+ pound truck. One thing I have seen from my buddy is the truck motors are super susceptible to power increases when you swap out for a mild cam and swap out the truck intake. If I remember right, the LS6 intake was around a 100 horsepower increase alone (could be off a bit as it's been a few years).

Either way, it'll be a badass little truck with an LS and a T-56
