so ive boken many stock carrier bearings over the years, but then i did my ls swap, had my drive shaft shorted i asked the drive shaft shop the same question, he told me to runn the aftermarket billet bearing i would have to add a slip yoke into my drive shaft. he said the stock bearing as been around for years and the biggest reason they fail is the drive shaft is out of balance or when someone changed on they put the dirver shaft back together out of phase thus making it out of balance, i stock witht he stock bearing he blanced my whole drive shaft as one unit, its been 9 year not and ive yet to brake a stock carrier since then and i beat the daylights out of my c10 with ls swap
