if you aren't relocating the tranny, then just leave it in the truck, and bolt the new engine to that tranny, and bolt the engine down where is lands.
It is THAT sinple.
On a 2 wheel drive, it won't be correct, but it'll be fine. Get a fan shroud for a small block 4X4.
On a 4X4, it'll be correct as if it had a small block from day one.
