Re: New to us 72 Suburban

I've been working a plan with the wife to try and get a budget of what it is going to take to get this road worthy by next spring. I don't believe she is ready to see the stuff all added up. This morning I put a battery charger on the cables to see if I could get the engine to turn over. The charger trick didn't work. Although, I did find out the blower motors work for the AC, wipers, lights, all work and the starter did try to crank. The 402 is stuck so I am going to dump some witch craft down it's throat and see if it can be broke free. I even removed the fan and shroud to get in on the crank bolt with a large ratchet and it still didn't help. Go figure. This could be why the burb was parked 30 years ago. We knew it had a noise in the engine and maybe the noise turned into no turny turny.
