Re: What kinda sorta rare job have you done for a living ?

Nothing as good as the rest of you!
I did work as an electrician in the research and development dept of a chemical company for nearly 10 years.I saw a lot of bad, dangerous ( and very deadly) experiments and inventions.
Spent time on a nuclear sub in the early 70's.About 3 months for the security clearance.
And,in the 90's,my company built county jail's for about 2 years. All remote door lock controls, security cameras, remote lighting, etc.I did all the wiring with helpers. The wiring was supposed to be a big secret! But,that didn't last long before someone had to know for maintenance.
I worked on the baggage system at the new Denver International Airport too!
And,last---In the 60's,at about 14 years old,I hired out for the summer working for Dollar General Stores.A crew of 3 (plus me) had 2 vans and we would remodel a rented store into a new Dollar General Store. It was store number 3 in Alexandria,Louisiana.Store number 1 was in Columbia,Ms.Can't remember where store number 2 was. It's a big company now!
Mike.
