Suburban looks nice. I will have to check out the build thread.

You need to build boost or pressure in the intake in order for the valve to stay closed. The hose that comes from the intake to the BOV senses pressure or vacuum. Under boost it will close the valve and keep it closed. If there is vacuum in the intake it will open the valve. It appears that the BOV is doing what it is supposed to do. You don't want pressure when you are manually blipping the throttle.
Before you make any adjustments drive the truck and see if how it acts.
