Re: DBW Gas Pedal Adapter bracket

Hi Rob,
Saw your bracket and also wondered if it would work on the squarebody styles. I am in process of swapping a 2003 Tahoe 5.3 into an 85 C10.

From my basic fitting of the truck DBW pedal into the 85 cab, it seems that it would fit but the DBW sensor/mount would be VERY close to the steering column. But pedal itself pretty much where the original one was.

However, I noticed that by moving the new pedal there the DBW sensor was right in line with the brake pedal arm. This would probably be no big deal under normal circumstances. (i.e. normal braking)

But I worried if the brakes were to go out or as they were pumped to the floor for bleeding, that the arm could contact the DBW sensor and possibly break it.

Has anyone trying the bracket noticed if the sensor will be in line with the brake arm or not? Just wondering.

Thanks.
