Re: put your build thread in your signature

Jim it really helps those of us who answer a lot of the questions that pop up to know what a guy or gal is working on when they ask an often simple question. Ogre thinks Task Force and I think AD most of the time. We sometimes give an answer for one and the question is actually on the other and the answer doesn't pertain like it should.

Some of us draw from a lot of years of experience with these trucks and some of us are real good at searching out the info and sorting it out so that the info we provide is solid and viable and real help to the one asking the question.

I had to go back and change an answer yesterday because after seeing another poster's answer I did a bit of research that backed up what he had written and showed that what worked with 10 SI and 12 SI alternators didn't work with the newer alternators and would possibly have caused serious issues. That was my education for the day.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
