Yeah b pillar isn’t looking fun either. My biggest problem is I get a couple of hours to work on it. Then I look at it for 1 1/2 hours. Finally get courage to cut into it and wonder why I cut it like that. Lol. Oh well. Learning lots. And so far I haven’t cut into anything that I can’t fix.
Well, seems like you are doing it the same way I did, looking at it for an hour and a half

But, you may be able to rock the patch back or forth to extend the part that is short. Just don't go to far as the fender bolt won't line up, easier to do with a straight cut

Make your cuts in the patch, as you can always buy another, in my thread there was a comment where I went thru several before I was happy with the out come
