Re: Lowering my c1500 4/6...need front tire advice

The tire sizes discussed are all fairly tall for a ~4" drop up front. They will fit... but @ those OD's there sure is the possibility of buzzing. The taller the combo, the more it's going to happen.

Same truck. Same drop. It's 'based' on a 4/6 drop (2" spindles; 1-coil removed from OE 6cyl coils; flip kit + shackles). It's possibly a tad lower; definitely so in the rear. With the 15" Ralleys, it ran 215/70-15 BFG's (26.8") & did not buzz the wells. The new combo recently installed is closer to the sizes you guys have discussed & it constantly buzzes (225/60-17's @ 27.6").

Spring rate up front will come into play. If running a taller combo, I would def ensure the spring rate is upped to help prevent the annoying buzzing.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
