Thats what I did. My crossmember is sectioned 1.75" and thats how much I moved all my steering up. We just basically sliced the side off the frame off and raised it 1.75" and welded it back together. If you could get pictures that would be great. I looked at raising the steering box and all but the problem I saw was the pitman arm and idler arm hitting the bottom of the frame when your fully turned. Are you notching for this or raising the entire section of the frame for clearance. I guess a pic would show it best.
