Thanks, Scott. It actually was not that bad. I had some stubborn spot welds that were a pain to get out, but I got it done. I took my time and worked on it for a couple hours every few days over the course of a couple weeks. If I got frustrated, I had the sense to walk away. I also probably went overkill on the bracing.
Hopefully putting the new one in will go well. Still seems easier than repairing the floor.
