Re: Hard start question
Ok, well I'm (finally) ready to report that this problem is solved. Vette was correct, I finally bit the bullet and sprung for the $250.00 for a high torque mini starter.
All the nose cone problems were avoided because my late model engine had the bolt holes for a block mounted starter. I really expected the starter to need (at the very least) shims, and maybe more, but I bolted that thing on and it lined up perfect.
Starts strong and immediately after a 30 minute drive.
Thought I would post this as I don't like to leave things hanging, never know someone with the same problem may come along.
Thanx to all who helped!
