If gasket and trim sit well everywhere else both must be matched for correct year range
The rubber atleast on my new gasket has a second inner lip has that been pulled over the frame ?
I did not save any of my old gaskets on previous trucks i cut the rubber out to save on broken glass in the driveway
Other area i would check has the trim popped out of the gasket at that point if its not seated in its channel can be an issue as well
