Thanks for pointing out this great GM history.

I at the time ordered a big block stripped SS/RS 1968 Camaro. Tried to get it with manual brakes, however, GM rejected my order, and I had to add PBs. That was the only option, other then the big 396 engine and 4 speed. At the time as a senior in HS, I knew the weight of every option.
