I did a lot of mud like this when I was young. I liked to drop down into the sediment ponds and tear it up. I twisted a short shaft of a divorced transfer case set-up in two. It's just enough tube to butt the ends together and it looked like someone opened a sardine can, just peeled it in two. Had to pull the shaft out laying in the soup. That truck was a '69 W200 Power Wagon I put W300 axles under (Dana 60/70 combo). But, that sound of a small block wound out under load makes my heart smile
