0010 or 3970010 blocks came in 2 or 4 bolt mains.
Even motors that came in trucks , that should be 4 bolt, had 2 bolts.
It seems that later on GM put in what ever they had on hand?

I pulled a 0010 motor out of a 1969 Chevy c30 openroad motor home and it had a 4 bolt and a steel crank.

I pulled a 0010 motor out of a 1973 c-10 and it was a 2 bolt.
