the box liner stuff is usually put on or makes it's own with heat with chemical reaction so that may affect your decision. not totally sure though. I had a cab done years back and the installer said if the cab was freshly painted he wouldn't do the job unless it had sufficient time to cure. whatever you put on, make sure the surface is clean and free of rust etc. otherwise it will be back to visit and the coating won't be easily removed. some of the box liners stuff is also a bit slippery when wet. also, try not to cover the door seal area if possible.
