I agree with solidaxel ... mine is a great driver because of all the mechanical upgrades -- makes it more road worthy AND more fun!

Actually my intention is just that...late model drivetrain, reliability, some A/C and tunes ( nothing radical- I'm almost 40!) and leave as much original character as I can...By summer I want this to be daily driver reliable..

As far as the stopping the rust, I am currently researching my options...if I can't stop it dead in it's tracks and clear it, I will just drive it a year like this ( with clear to limit it's exposure) and then I will reluctantly paint it.
