Mine is lowered 4" in the rear so I did two things to get all kinds of clearance. First, I used a stack of SAE 5/8" washers to move the bar away as much as a full nut would allow, 4 or 5 washers. Secondly, I bent the bar up to clear the thick center portion of the cover. Bending the bar served two purposes on the lowered rear, it centers the rear end as well as clears the girdle cover...I'll dig some pics up...
