I think Bigblock73 & Elgracho are our resident 'weird options' go to guys.
since you say it was a water ski type type option, meaning the beach or lake, I guess the LRP stood for Likely Rust Prone.

For any Nam vets it meant something totally different. being a LeRP, as the LRP's were known, had to be a scary proposition.
