OK so it looks as if the purchase of an old truck just to tinker around with on weekends has turned into a complete frame off semi-resto/rebuild

I figured if the Egyptians could build trillion ton pyramids without a hoist then the Paintman could certainly get his cab off just as easily. After a little bit of trial and error this is what I came up with...............I just jacked up each corner a little at a time and blocked up the jack stands until I got it high enough to slide the cradle under. Keep it simple stupid.

Now it's just a matter of welding up all the extra holes in the frame, disassemble, and then off to the sand blaster. I guess there's no turning back now.
