The upright main L brackets are 3/8" which is overkill but is what I had laying around. The main face is 1/4" plate comprised of 3 main sections broke to shape. The anchor points are 3/8" that run through to the back of the main beams. And there is an actual reinforced winch box that sits behind the main face so the winch does not mount to the actual pumper face. Everything is gusseted as well.

On the rear, the box protectors on the side are load bearing.
