If you put the Pressure regulator father for the carb you get more restrictive flow witch makes it easier adjust the pressure down. Most people want less restrictive flow put close to the carb, with all system being different some can get the pressure lower that work for the set up closer to the carb. It will be trial error hit the best place for your. some time going to 3/8 fuel line after the pressure regulator to the carb helps a little.
