That is correct when changing to anything other than 8 lug. If you are wanting to stay with 8 lug, I believe you can upgrade to discs by changing the balljoints, spindles, rotors, etc. The only thing I haven't been able to verify is if the disc brake lower balljoint will press into the '63-'66 LCA's
