Newfisher, I've been checking out this thread, and I spent some time on Lugnutz T-5 pages and now I'm fairly confused.
Looks like I can do this cheaper than re-gearing the torque tube rear end in my wife's '54 panel. I've already got a Nova rear end laying around the shop I can use to replace the rear end. Got a set of wheels I can use on the back until I do the disc brake kit for the front. The perch kit for the rear end is in the $50-60 range. I'll check Summit for the input shaft, as Crown wants almost $90 for theirs. The trans I can source thru a local yard for $300.
Only question I have left to ask after reading all the T5 info, is what's the tag number on the trans you used? This might work better for me than "out of an '89 S-19 with a 6 cyl" when I go hunting since I'm looking for a specific tooth count on the input shaft and I think I'd also prefer the non world class for the brass syncros.
