Re: Tie Rod Ends - Do I need to redo them?

I could find any torque specs either for chevy trucks

But my dodge ram 4x4 diesel service manual says 65-75 ft lbs for tie rod ends/drag link ends.

Quote:
Should I be concerned? Feel like I may have created a dangerous situation if I compromised the strength of the studs. Thoughts on this? Should I back them off and re-torque to 45 lbs or just toss them and buy new ones?
Toss them? What for? You are fine. Dont worry about it. 45 ft lb doesnt seem right too me. Those are 1/2" threads and nuts and are usually 55-80 ft lbs for 1/2" bolts
