I read about your 2004r transmission..... That can be a STOUT transmission for your truck! May I suggest you call Art Carr in Huntington Beach, Ca.
He is famous for his 200 r4 transmission builds. ( It would not surprise me if that tranny , out of the Corvette, was built by his shop.)
Your 700 transmission is also the correct original, But if the 200 is still good....

Thanks for the info, yes Art has a very good reputation for building a quality trans. I sold the 2004r the other day to another Vette guy, wants to put it in his '79 and the local transmission shop just picked up my 700R4 Friday so the $$ I made off the 200 will go a long way towards rebuilding the 700
