One thing that I should have stated in my original post is that this motor/truck will be for my 16 yr old son to drive back & forth to school.
I had a 67 SWB stepside when I was in school as well; except mine had a 455 big block in it. The truck met it's demise quite violently after leaving the road at approx. 130+ mph.........I am quite lucky to be able to be a part of this discussion, not to mention to be alive.....
That being said, I don't want my son to have the same oppurtunity that I had, yet at the same time I would like for the truck to be something that will turn heads in the school parking lot.
I personally think that it is some sort of 'rite of passage' to have at least one vehicle in high school that is "cool".
OK, enough about me....After reading all the posts on this thread, I'm pretty sure we'll go with the 250. One question: I see most everyone paints their motors Chevy orange. Is this the correct color for a '67 250?
