I did a 1/2 drop on my 68, the difference is subtle, to say the least.
It is lower, although it took well over a month for the rear springs to settle. before that, the rear actually sat 1/2" higher than it did with the old springs.
Officially, I ended up with a 1/1 drop, and I can still haul my Harley in the bed, with no issues.
