Here's the way I like to do it, it's basically the same except with an extra splice at the voltage reg wiring and the wire from the #2 terminal isn't jumped to the alt post. It puts the voltage sense wire at the alt main splice.

Im actually doing this RIGHT now today. I just had a question. Which wires do i jump on the alternator. From the diagram, i was going to jump #2 to power correct?
