Poorboy, a 9" is not a full floater. A full floater has a hub, with bearings that DO NOT touch the axle shaft in any way shape or form, and thus do not carry any weight. Those axles that do have hubs, and have bearings touching the axle shaft, but do not have C-clips are semi floating axles. The 9" has the bearing and race pressed onto the shaft. If the axle breaks between the bearing and the face of the wheel mounting surface, you loose your tire.
