If you want to run a stock frame rather than doing a frame swap they did have 1-1/2 and 2tons in 1953 with 179 inch wheelbases that might stretch a bit rather easily. No vin on the frame so finding that truck in a Texas field with the beat up cab, no engine and missing pieces but a nice straight frame works if a stock style frame is in the plans.

If I decide to use this chassis, this one looks like it will stretch rather easily. I haven't decided if I'm going to use this chassis, or swap it onto a newer 1 ton chassis. I think putting the body on a new chassis would be easiest.
