some guys have had pipes made for their setup, so it can look stock, but be a custom application. Any exhaust shop can make one from 1 1/2" OD pipe. On the t-stat end have it swelled to 1 3/4" OD to make getting hoses easier.

I went this route for my truck (w/ 283). Cost maybe $6. If you're lucky they can make one out of stainless steel.
