I can confirm that with NOS clips the bright tailgate molding pieces install without any difficulty.
THE AFTERMARKET REPRO CLIPS FROM MAR-K AND ANOTHER VENDOR DO NOT WORK AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED - PRESUMABLY THESE CLIPS ARE FROM THE SAME MANUFACTURER
