ok so far one of you thinks 500 cfm will be better for 283 and others say I can use an adapter for a 600 in stock manifold? Also we just open the valve cover to get the head numbers . Did research and said it is from 80-86 305/350. The block itself is 283. Sorry trying not to get off topic but just giving an idea what I'm working with. I bought this truck a month ago and am dying to get my first drive in it.
