Re: Abandoned, neglected square body trucks rotting away...

To me, the really upsetting part of this thread is that so many of the photos have trucks that possess the very stuff I need for various aspects of my own project. (insert your own missing part) If we could explore some of these finds, we would likely learn that they could be had for little to nothing. But around my neck of the woods, there are so many danged ole rednecks that will let that truck rot to the ground right up until I want it for something. Then they will suddenly be convinced the darn thing is made of gold and I somehow must surely be a multimillionaire:

"Well yeah, I been partin her out for a cupple o years now. Yeah... lemme think on that bed. Naw, I'd have to get 'bout 18 hunnert ... but that dont include the dually fenders. I gotta get nother five hunnert for them."

It's times like this when I need the weather to warm back up so I can scour the countryside on the old Harley. Honestly, I'm not kidding. I've found some of my best parts scrounding on that old bike. Of course, I have to make a second trip to retrieve the part but that's not the point. The Harley gets better gas mileage than Prius and is a lot more fun.
