Dave, yeah that info is from the original "Chevrolet Truck" "Data Book" that was for the dealers. Has nearly every option and spec for these trucks by year.
Somebody this past week posted a GMC original part catalog for sale and it sold apparently. You could look over the posts for the last week and find the guy that bought it and ask him to look up the part number for that shaft and housing, if that would help your search any.
