Need help/advice

Putting a rebuilt 4.8 from a 2000 Silverado into an 85 c10. Test fit it and everything is good. Got it all put together and went to put the flywheel on yesterday and the bolts were really tight.

Heres the rundown:

Motor had manual trans with the crank that had the fat flange. Bought a reman crank with short flange. Got a dish flywheel and bolts from a 4.8 truck motor a friend had. Also got the self centering ring and it fits like its supposed to. The problem is the 6 bolts are VERY tight. I can get them in about half way and Im afraid ill damage the threads. My question is is this normal for them to be this tight? Am I over cautious? Should I just crank them down and torque to spec? Will some ARP torque lube or oil help this problem?

Yes I cleaned out the bolt holes for dirt and junk.
