Re: T5 T-5 transmission to 235 inline or V8 with 10 spline the easy way

My advise on 67-72 is the forward the cross member will require... Patience, lots of patience. The up shot is once the rivets are replaced with bolts it is now removable. The build up and input shaft swap went mostly to plan, dropped a bearing in the case so I had to learn how to take it apart at the end of the day. Followed your instructions to the letter, at the end of the day it shifts as advertised, I wished the donor truck had the ratio that's more appropriate for my 3.73 gears, 5th could be a bit taller but I'm not complaining. My only area of concern is my release bearing, its in a bit of squeeze between the bearing retainer shaft and pressure plate. I sent you a PM on the subject. A shorter bearing is in order. Recommend getting the shift lever from the donor. I expected screw-on style shift levers would be common in the salvage yards.... Ehh wrong. The bearing issue is easily fixed with the right part, details detail. I call it successful!
