Re: 1973 Cheyenne Super 10

The 350 in the truck had been sitting for a long long time without an air cleaner or thermostat housing. A few parts had been taken off. I took the valve covers and intake off to inspect the upper internals. Turns out everything looked very clean and it had some pretty nice parts in there. The heads appear that they were built for racing...fancy studs, big rockers, guide plates, beefy push rods. The intake valley had been coated. Everything looked good. I cleaned everything and went back with some used parts that I scored. An Edelbrock Performer intake, HEI distributor, quadrajet, and some chrome valve covers. After installing all the parts and cleaning the fuel system, I put in a battery and it fired up! Runs pretty healthy. I wasn't sure at first, but she lived!
