Well I spent some money...
After pricing up the cost of steel, borrowing a pipe bender, buying a new welders - mine "might" be man enough to cope with the steel, and after a discussion with our very own Mr Stanger I decided to purchase the Summit frame brace as the price difference was negligible. If I had waited another week I would have e been saving money such are the vagaries of the Pound/Dollar exchange rate...
Brace is currently mid ocean.
I have also spent some more cash on a pot sandblaster after the 'Knott Wheel of Truth(tm) failed to get into the nooks and crannies and I read the instructions on the Steel-It can that recommended a rough texture to the steel to make it adhere.
Still getting to grips with it as so far I have only managed to spread 2 bags of media around the shed rather than remove anything vaguely related to paint, or corrosion, from a metal object. I thought that my compressor was man enough for the job but was proven wrong - which leads me onto a small detour but a great story....
