seems like you answered your own question.

will you feel much more of the road? yes.

Do you like feeling much more of the road? you have already answered no.

The tubular control arms and coil overs won't make it ride any harsher. the only real benefit to coil overs in this application is pre-load is better adjusted. The solid bushings will tighten things up though and transmit road forces to the passengers.

If you like what you have keep it. Get some nice adjustable shocks and rebuild the parts you have with the bushings you like.
