who says? granted, it is true to some extent, but, depends mostly on the intake you use i got a set on my el camino, 383, port and polished and bigger valves, had a victor junior, and had no power up top, but switched to a performer rpm, and gained some, heard a weiand stealth would give some more, but not sure, the elky is a street car anyways, no need for top end
